The AIS Partner is a natural person acting as a private individual.
Persons who set up an AIS station on behalf of a company, academic institution, for research purposes, or other commercial purposes in the broader sense are not entitled to financial compensation, as they usually benefit from other advantages of a partnership with Ship Monitor.
The AIS Partner is free to decline their compensation for the purpose of making a donation. In this case, Ship Monitor will donate all collected compensations annually to a selected maritime charity and inform the AIS partners accordingly.
Payments are made semi-annually and exclusively via PayPal.
The compensation for Ship Monitor AIS Stations is 10$ per month.
The compensation for AIS Data Sharers is 5$ per month.
