Installation
First, the device should be connected to the antenna via the BNC connector and to the Internet via the network port.
The device is powered either by the included power supply or an alternative power supply providing between 9 and 30 V and at least 3 W. For testing, the device can also be powered through the USB Type B connector.
Device Status
On the top of the device there are four LEDs, of which the upper three are important for status information. There are also additional LEDs on the side near the Ethernet port that can be used to check the network status.
The top green LED on the device indicates whether it is powered and functioning. If this LED is off, flickering, or only glowing faintly, it may indicate an issue with the power supply.
The two red LEDs on the top of the device, labeled A and B, will briefly flash when an AIS message is received. If they do not light up, check whether the antenna is correctly connected and whether there are ships within reception range.
At the network port on the side, you will find two additional LEDs that provide an indication of the Internet connection status.
The orange LED remains constantly lit when a cable connection to a network device has been established. If it is off or blinking, check the network cable connection and try a different network port on your router or switch.
The green LED blinks when data is being transmitted. This does not necessarily indicate AIS data, but it does show that the connection is functioning.
